A connected model of outcomes, processes, decisions and evidence is the real foundation of the mesh.

The most important technical component of the mesh may not be the language model. It is the structure connecting transformation knowledge.

Each object needs a stable identity, status, owner, version and relationship to other objects.

Why this matters

Without a shared model, agents repeatedly reconstruct context from documents. They may produce convincing outputs while missing a decision made elsewhere.

With connected knowledge, the mesh can answer more consequential questions:

  • Which tests are affected by this process decision?
  • Which extension violates an approved clean-core principle?
  • Which training materials became obsolete after a role change?
  • Which open data issue threatens cutover?
  • Which business outcome is no longer supported by current scope?

Systems of record

The knowledge model does not require one tool to own everything. SAP Signavio, SAP LeanIX, SAP Cloud ALM, S/4HANA, BTP and customer platforms may remain authoritative for different objects.

The mesh needs consistent identity, semantics and synchronization across them.
