Skills and skill packs

An agent name describes a responsibility. It does not prove competence.

ETM4S4 separates five skill categories.

Core agent skills

Capabilities such as evidence extraction, classification, comparison, traceability, workflow coordination and escalation.

SAP implementation skills

SAP Activate, fit-to-standard, Best Practices interpretation, clean core, configuration reasoning, extensibility, integration, testing, migration and cutover.

Business-process skills

Examples include:

• Lead-to-Cash
• Source-to-Pay and Procure-to-Pay
• Design-to-Operate
• Record-to-Report
• Plan-to-Fulfill
• Hire-to-Retire
• Acquire-to-Retire
• Service-to-Cash

Industry skills

Manufacturing, automotive, mobility, aerospace, retail, utilities, public sector and other industry contexts.

Localization and regulatory skills

Country requirements, tax, statutory reporting, privacy, controls, export restrictions and regulated environments.

Skill depth

Skills should be assigned a depth—awareness, working, practitioner, expert or assurance—and an evaluation method.

A reusable agent can then be deployed with selected skill packs. For example:

Process / Fit-to-Standard Agent

+ customer procurement policy

This is more scalable than creating a separate agent identity for every process and country combination.
