The implementation challenge

Cutover plans contain thousands of dependencies across technical, data and business activities. They are difficult to keep current and even harder to challenge under time pressure.

Mission and boundaries

The agent integrates plans, detects collisions, supports simulations, maintains prerequisites and assembles readiness and rollback evidence.

It never makes the final go-live decision or independently executes production cutover.

How it works

Inputs include cutover tasks, dependencies, owners, durations, environments, rehearsals, readiness assessments and decision criteria. Outputs include integrated plans, collision warnings, scenario analyses, command-center views and evidence.

Human–agent operating model

The agent coordinates, compares and alerts. The Cutover Manager leads execution, resolves crises and manages stakeholders. The go-live board authorizes go-live, rollback and risk acceptance.

Governance and risks

Cutover is high consequence. The agent requires read-only or tightly controlled production access, resilient fallback, clear escalation and no hidden optimization of decision criteria.

Success and maturity

Measures include rehearsal variance, unplanned dependencies, overdue critical tasks, decision-evidence completeness and stabilization incidents.

Example

The agent detects that final reconciliation cannot complete before a downstream interface release. It proposes sequencing options and escalates the conflict before the go-live meeting.
