2026Status and roadmap
What ETM4S4 represents today and how the model is intended to mature.
ETM4S4 currently represents an initial reference model: a lifecycle, an agent catalog, a governance approach and a set of implementation hypotheses.
It is deliberately more detailed than a vision statement and less final than a product specification.
Current focus
- Define the overall mesh and its relationship to SAP Activate.
- Describe each agent consistently.
- Map agent work to traditional consulting roles.
- Establish explicit autonomy and assurance concepts.
- Define reusable business-process and industry skill packs.
- Develop an implementation, adoption and operating model.
Next stages
Refine
Review each agent with experienced functional, technical and transformation practitioners. Improve boundaries, inputs, outputs, skills and collaboration patterns.
Prototype
Select bounded use cases where source information and human reviewers are available. Begin in shadow or draft-only mode.
Evaluate
Measure groundedness, completeness, consistency, cycle time, human override patterns and downstream quality—not only user satisfaction.
Connect
Integrate agents with authoritative systems such as SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Signavio, SAP LeanIX and customer delivery platforms.
Scale
Move from isolated agents to governed collaboration, shared context and independent assurance.
Operate
Establish ownership, monitoring, release processes, incident management and continuous improvement.
I will update the site as the model develops and will state clearly when a design has moved from concept to tested practice.
